Following a season split between Napoli Basket in Italy and ASVEL Basket in France, Ben Bentil is making his return to Turkey and the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL) with Mersin MSK. Bentil previously played in the BSL, the top division of the Turkish basketball league system in 2021 with Bahcesehir Koleji. Last year with Napoli, Bentil averaged 14.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. Having only played 6 games with ASVEL Basket, Bentil only played 11.7 minutes per game, averaging 6.3 points and 2.5 rebounds.

Last year, Mersin had a strong 2024-2025 season in the Turkish KBSL, finishing with a record of 17-5 and finishing second in the league standings. The team has already made some additional moves for the upcoming season, adding Australian forward and former Duke-y Jack White who recently was a part of the 2023 Denver Nuggets’ NBA Championship team, playing in 17 games in the regular season and making a couple appearances last year for the Memphis Grizzlies.
