Al Durham Helps Caledonia Gladiators win the British Basketball League Championship

Al Durham signed with the Caledonia Gladiators of the British Basketball League (BBL) and made an immediate impact, helping lead them to their 2nd ever BBL Championship on a buzzer-beater over Cheshire Phoenix, 73-70.

Caledonia, from Glasgow, had been in the midst of a 20-year championship drought, having been to 10 finals during that time, losing every single one of them. Enter Al Durham.

Durham played in 11 games, starting 5, averaging 16.3 ppg (8th in the league), 3.3 rpg, and 1.9 apg. Durham made game winning plays by doing what he does best, getting to the free throw line and connecting when it counts. Durham was 3rd in the league in free throw attempts, averaging 6.1 attempts per contest and connecting on 82.1% of them. He continues to be a closer.
