Kalif Young Re-Signs with the Scarborough Shooting Starts of the Canadian Elite Basketball League

Kalif Young (Providence Class of 2020) has officially re-signed with the Scarborough Shooting Stars of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). Young started his professional International career with the Brampton Honey Badgers within the same CEBL. Young has continued to played in two leagues per year based on the respective short seasons of most International leagues. Here’s a look at where Kalif’s played already since graduating from Providence College.

The above doesn’t even take into account Kalif playing for the Canadian National Team along the way, helping them qualify for the 2023 FIBA World Cup. Last season, Scarborough’s inaugural one in the CEBL, Young played 21 games, leading the Shooting Stars in total rebounds (139) and blocks (19) while averaging 8 ppg, 6.6 rpg and 2 apg in 26.7 mpg.

Young is currently playing for Medi Bayreuth of the German Basketball League and will start the 2023 CEBL season in late May.
