Brycen Goodine Has Committed to Fairfield

This afternoon, Brycen Goodine announced via his Instagram that he has officially committed to Fairfield University.

Brycen announced that he was entering the transfer portal once the transfer guards started flocking to the Providence Friars. Goodine will get an opportunity to shine for the Stags in the MAAC as they don’t seem to have any true scorers on the team with their leading scorer averaging only 11.1 ppg last season. Fairfield just happens to be where Ed Cooley received his first Head Coaching opportunity before coming to Providence, which is a nice little 7 Degrees of Kevin Bacon note. The Stags were 15-18 last season, finishing 7th in the conference.

Hopefully the Friars get a chance to play Brycen at The Dunk so the fans can show him some appreciation for his contributions to the team over the last two season. I didn’t think I would be tuning into any Fairfield games this season but it looks like I don’t have a choice but to not catch at least parts of games to check in on Goodine.

Best of Luck Brycen! Once A Friar, Always A Friar.
