My Pre-Season Big East Men’s Basketball Awards for 2018-2019

Here are my Pre-Season Pick for the Big East last season: 2017-2018 Pre-Season Big East Team picks.  Here is what the actual team ended up being compared to where my pre-season pick had them.

1st Team

Kelan Martin (Butler) – 2nd Team

Marcus Foster (Creighton) – 1st Team

Shamorie Ponds (St. John’s) – 2nd Team

Mikal Bridges (Villanova) – 3rd Team

Jalen Brunson (Villanova) – 1st Team

Trevon Blueitt (Xavier) – 1st Team

2nd Team

Khyri Thomas (Creighton) – 2nd Team

Marcus Derrickson (Georgetown) – Honorable Mention

Markus Howard (Marquette) – 2nd Team

Angel Delgado (Seton Hall) – 1st Team

Desi Rodriguez (Seton Hall) – 3rd Team

Honorable Mentions

Kyron Cartwright (Providence) – 1st Team

Andrew Rowsey (Marquette) – Honorable Mention

I had Rodney Bullock making the 2nd Team, which was my only real miss of the 1st and 2nd Team selections.  If I would have swapped him and Marcus Derrickson, I would have pretty much nailed it.  I also had J.P. Macura (Xavier), Khadeen Carrington (Seton Hall), and Donte DiVencenzo (Villanova) on my 3rd Team.
