Former Providence Friar scoring machine MarShon Brooks has signed a fully-guaranteed two-year deal with the Memphis Grizzlies. Having played just three games since signing a 10-day contract with Memphis, Brooks has put his offensive prowess on display.
Brooks became the first player in Grizzlies history to record 20+ points in each of his first three games with the team and just the second player in the team’s history to average over 20 ppg over those three games. MarShon cashed-in immediately on the opportunity, scoring 70 points in those three games.
The Grizzlies are in dire need of offensive weapons and Brooks fits the bill for what they are seeking. Not only has Brooks been putting the ball in the hoop, but he has been doing so at an extremely efficient clip from all over the floor:
57.1% Field Goal Percentage
64.7% Three-Point Field Goal Percentage
84.6% Free-Throw Percentage
All that in just 25.3 minutes per game. He is averaging 23.3 ppg in 25.3 mpg…off the bench. Dang.
Oh, and just for shits and giggles, he’s also averaging 3.7 apg, 2.0- rpg, and 1.67 spg.
MarShon Brooks absolutely gets all of the buckets.
