It still may be a little too far away to be doing my Pre-Season Big East Men’s Basketball Awards for the 2017-2018 basketball season but fuck it, I was both bored and had nothing else to write about.  Anyway, I’ve been thinking about who was going to make the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams this season for awhile as it is, so why not finally put it down in writing so I can brag about how brilliant my picks were when the season ends?  I don’t do this stupid more than 5 players on a team thing, so every team is only 5 players…you know, like a regular basketball team.  Without further ado, here we go…

1st Team

Player of the Year: Angel Delgado (Seton Hall)

Defensive Player of the Year: Khyri Thomas (Creighton)

Most Improved Player: Donte DiVencenzo (Villanova)

6th Man of the Year: Phil Booth/Donte DiVencenzo, whichever one doesn’t start this season.  However, Kamar Baldwin, if for some reason he comes off the bench.  It’s a little hard to gauge this one without knowing team’s starting lineups.

Coach of the Year: Ed Cooley (Providence)
