A.J. Reeves Out 4 to 6 Weeks with a Foot Injury

In what will be a big hit to the Providence College offense, an announcement came from the school that he will need to miss 4 to 6 weeks with a foot injury.

So far this season, Reeves has been the Friars best three-point shooter, connecting on a team-high 45.3% of deep bombs.  Along with his shooting prowess, the stud Freshman ranks second on the team in scoring, chipping in 14.2 ppg while starting each of PC’s first 10 games of the season.

Reeves had been the easily the best Freshman in the Big East so far this season, winning 3 out of the first 4 Big East Freshman of the Week awards.

Here’s what Big Ed had to say about the unlucky situation.

“It’s unfortunate that A.J. has to go through this as he has been having a very productive start to his college career.  However, he is a great person and will use this time to get better and he will continue to support the team.” – Ed Cooley

My first inclination is that Maliek White would get the start this Sunday against Central Connecticut to fill in as an off-guard and help David Duke out with the ball-handling duties.

Also, I love this pic of Reeves from earlier this season.
