Providence Friars (4-0) 80 – Florida State Seminoles (1-2) 54
This is going to be a quick recap with some notes and thoughts and that’s all since I didn’t have any time to write this sucker up before the game today.
- The game was basically a home game for PC with almost the entire crowd supporting the Friars yesterday and I expect the same thing for today’s game.
- Forget everything I said about Carson shooting jumpers as he hit back to back shot to get the Friars going, including a 3. Yeah, they hit every part of the rim on their way down, but they went in, so who cares.
- LeDontae Henton was everywhere tallying another double-double with a game-high 24 points and 10 rebounds.
- Henton started the season 9th all-time in rebounding and 20th in scoring in PC’s all-time stats, so he’s only going to keep climbing those ranks this year.
- Kris Dunn had a nice homecoming (from New London) and dished out 9 assists to go along with 15 points of his own.
- It was great to see Jalen Lindsey’s finger looking all healed up as he rained down threes all game, going 5-6 from deep.
- Teddy Bancroft went 2-2 again from three for the second game in a row as the white out closed the game. That’s a good feeling #tedtime.
- Awesome game.
- Let’s Eat.
