Justin Minaya Agrees to Exhibit 10 Deal with the Orlando Magic

Justin Minaya is joining the Magic on an Exhibit 10 deal, according to Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel. The deal gives him a shot at earning a two-way spot for the 2025-26 season. With the Portland Trail Blazers last year, Minaya, 26, averaged just 5.3 minutes across 19 games.

An Exhibit 10 deal is a one-year, minimum-salary NBA contract with a bonus option built in.

  • The team brings the player to training camp.
  • If the player doesn’t make the roster, he can join the team’s G-League affiliate.
  • If he stays there at least 60 days, he can earn a bonus of up to $75,000.

It’s basically a low-risk way for teams to evaluate players, and a chance for those players to either grab a roster spot or get rewarded while developing in the G-League.

Along with Minaya, Orlando announced an additional three new signings ahead of training camp including free agent guard Reece Beekman, wing Lester Quinones, and center Colin Castleton. All four players are eligible to have their Exhibit 10 deals converted into two-way contracts before the start of the regular season. The Magic currently have one open two-way slot alongside Jamal Cain and Orlando Robinson.
