Although the season came to an end for this year’s Friars on Friday, there was a little bit of good news for one of Providence outgoing players. Al Durham was selected to the All-Tournament Team for the Midwest Region. Remy Martin was selected as the Most Outstanding Player in the Region which makes sense after watching him play the way he did against PC.

Durham was the only player on the team to have played in only three games. The other 4 players all played in 4 games, meeting in the Elite Eight matchup between Kansas and Miami.
Over the three games against South Dakota State, Richmond, and Kansas, Al averaged 15.7 ppg, 6.3 rpg, and 4.3 apg. All three of those averages exceeded his numbers from this season (13.6 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 3.4 apg) and his performance actually lifted him to become the team’s leading scorer on the season (Nate average 13.3 ppg).
This was a fun little fact from Al after finding out he was one of the 5 players on the Midwest Region Team.
Durham was also previously selected to the Second Team NABC All-District 5. In case you were wondering who the other All-District 5 selections were, you can catch Big Nate and Coach Cooley below as well.
