The other five schools rounding out the Top 6 are Pitt, Florida, Seton Hall, Notre Dame and VCU.
The Friars offered Taylor about a month ago on June 21st but that actually wasn’t the latest that a school offered him a scholarship who made the Top 6 for the 2020 prospect. Notre Dame didn’t offer Taylor until June 30th, but also made his list in his final cut of schools. That should give Friar fans a little slightest little bit of confidence that they are in contention to factor into Taylor’s final decision.
Ed Cooley loves his lefties and Taylor fits that mold. He’s a lot bigger than he looks in his pictures. He looks a little like a Stretch Armstrong version of Russell Westbrook. There aren’t a ton of highlights to look at for the young gun but from what I was able to look at, he is a stud defender with some crazy athleticism who is an elite finisher. I couldn’t tell how far his offensive game stretches out but the defense is definitely the first thing that stood out.
The 6’9” Senior, from Imhotep Institute Charter High School in Philly, looks like he’s always active, especially on the boards, and guys like that can contribute to a team at any level. He is full-effort at all times and I eat that stuff up.
