The New Orleans Pelicans Waive Josh Oduro

As was expected when the New Orleans Pelicans recently re-signed Josh Oduro, they have officially waived him. Oduro has singed a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 deal, thus making him able to be optioned him to their G-League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron. The same series of events occurred between Oduro and the Pelicans last season where he was signed and subsequently waived, playing the season out with Squadron.

Oduro played 44 games last season for the Squadron, averaging 11.4 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 2.8 apg, and 1.1 bpg over 29.4 minutes per game. He’ll be eligible for a bonus worth up to $85,300 if he stays with the club for at least 60 days.

Last time I wrote about Oduro, I added some highlights of him schooling Donovan Clingan. I figured I follow up with some more highlights against another NBA big, the recently drafted and three-time Big East Defensive Player of the Year, Ryan Kalkbrenner.
