After parting ways with the San Antonio Spurs organization, David Duke Jr. has found a new opportunity in the desert, signing an Exhibit 10 training camp deal with the Phoenix Suns. He joins Damion Baugh and Tyrese Samuel as the latest additions to Phoenix’s preseason roster, giving the team additional depth and competition heading into camp. The deal is non-guaranteed, allowing the Suns to waive Duke if he doesn’t secure a spot on the team’s 15-man regular-season roster.

If Duke earns a spot on the Suns’ final roster, he’ll make $2.46 million for the 2025–26 NBA season. Should he fall short, he’s eligible to join Phoenix’s G League affiliate, the Valley Suns. It’s a familiar path for Duke, who spent last season with the Austin Spurs, San Antonio’s G League affiliate, where he averaged 16.9 points and 6.6 rebounds over 27 games.
Here’s Duke’s brief media day availability with his new team, though fair warning, the audio quality leaves a lot to be desired. At times, it sounds a bit like Charlie Brown’s teacher is handling the microphones.
This would mark Duke’s fourth season shuttling between the NBA and the G League, as he continues to carve out a role at the next level.
