Per Rookie Wire, Josh Oduro has agreed to sign an Exhibit 10 contract with the New Orleans Pelicans.
For those of you who are curious, an Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year deal (typically non-guaranteed) worth the league minimum that allows teams to convert it into a two-way contract before the regular season begins. The minimum salary for players signing contracts in the upcoming 2024-2025 NBA season is $1,157,153 (for players with 0 years of NBA experience).
Recent Friar alums David Duke Jr. and Justin Minaya have also previously signed Exhibit 10 deals in The League over the past couple of seasons.
Oduro will participate in the Pelicans training camp and then spend next season in the G-League with the Pelicans affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron. Josh would receive up to a $75,000 bonus if he is waived and stays with the Squadron for at least 60 days.
Now, if the Pelicans could finally put him in some games during the Summer League so I can at least see him play while I’m tuning into 10:30 PM games on a weekday…that would be awesome.
